But don't worry, here's an easy way to know exactly how long you should cook your chops. If you're new to making roasted pork chops, the best way to tell if they are fully cooked is to use an instant read meat thermometer.
Pork should be cooked to an internal temperature of degrees Fahrenheit. I use my meat thermometer to make sure I don't overcook the meat.
I make a spice mix that I absolutely love. It's my go-to spice that I use on both chicken and pork. I've made it so many times and we never get tired of it. Here's what I put in it:. Pork chops are lean meat and are low in calories and fat and high in protein.
This is a healthy pork chop recipe as it is made without any sugar. Pork recipes will often call for sugar, but it is really not necessary. There is no reason to take a healthy cut of meat and add a bunch of sugar to it. These chops are sugar-free and delicious. I like to serve these with a simple green salad and a veggie side that I roast in the oven alongside the chops.
Here are a few of my favorite sides:. For a summer-friendly version of these chops, try my Juicy Grilled Pork Chops recipe. It's the BBQ version of this one! Hi, I'm Kristen! I LOVE everything to do with food: making it, taking pictures of it, and the best part eating it.
Your email address will not be published. Based on the notes, I added about 5 minutes. I was almost afraid I over-cooked them based on my thermometer, but they were perfect. The spice mix using smoked paprika instead of regular boring paprika, was yummy, so I recommend that substitution if you like a bit more spice. So, we had those after the rest. Am printing this recipe to use it again! Fantastic and super easy to make! My picky boys and my hubby and I all love them — thank you!!!
F after planning to fry my pork chops and discovering I no oil, I decided to try cooking them in the oven. First time at bat After viewing several online recipes, i cam across this one and decided to give it a shot. Honestly, these were the juiciest, tender, and I will say Tastiest pork chops I have ever eaten. I gathered the kids around told them to try it and couple gave me lame excuses but i would not stand for a NO. After trying a bite, the three of them went after the last chop.
Thanx for the recipe and the entertainment of watching 3 teenagers try to get the last port chop. This recipe is excellent. Taken from the loin of the pig, they have a generous fat layer on one side and sometimes have a small piece of bone left in. The key with chops is to maximise the flavour by cooking the fat on the outside really well over a high heat. This should be done quickly so as not to dry out the meat inside.
You can help to keep the chops nice and tender by doing one of the following:. The quickest way to cook pork chops is to pan-fry or griddle them. As the chops can be quite large this method is best when serving one or two people. Check this at the thickest part or, if the chop is on the bone, test as close to the bone as you can as that area can take longer for the heat to permeate. Soaking pork in a juniper, coriander and thyme brine keeps it succulent and plump — griddle until just charred for an attractive main.
Pan-fry thick pork chops, then roast with cherry tomatoes, shallots and cannellini beans to make an easy one-pot dinner. Cook cabbage in cider, with juniper and caraway, top with pan-fried spare rib pork chops and bake for a warming, hearty supper.
An Italian-inspired no-fuss dinner. Tried it, loved it. Thank you!!! I added sweet potatoes and red potatoes and it turned out great. PLUS it was super easy to make. I know you mentioned that the Brn. Thanks you. There may be a slight sweetness from the brown sugar but it is very subtle. You can leave the brown sugar out and this recipe will still work really well. I have made it twice and it is delicious tender and tasty!
Love it and so easy. I needed something quick to throw in the oven and came across this recipe. It was very easy to make. I had all the spices on hand. Next time I make this, I may try it in the instant pot or crock pot.
The tenderness of the pork chops will depend upon the actual pork chops used quality, thickness, etc. The nutrition information is always an estimate and will vary based on the size of your pork chops, etc. It includes the seasonings. Yes, you can use any type of vegetable oil that you may have on hand, as long as the flavor is good. Also do you have any other recommendations of what I can put on instead? These were amazing!! I followed the recipe exactly and they were a big hit!!
Thanks for sharing the recipe. Awesome recipe. Thank you. Very tender and juicy. I cooked to an internal temperature of degrees using an internal thermometer. Final resting temperature was degrees. Although it was very juicy, I might only cook to internal temp of degrees since it seems that a 1 inch thick pork chop rises around 10 degrees.
I think my chops were too thin. And or my oven too hot. As noted in the recipe, thick cut pork chops turn out best, at least 1 inch thick. If they are much thinner they will need less cook time. I love pork chops and although I think I overcooked the first batch of these, they still tasted great.
I made these last night and my husband loved them! Great flavor and easy to make. My family loved this recipe. Replaced onion powder with garlic powder…. I used very thick butterfly cuts. Came out Very juicy and flavorful. Thank you! Your email address will not be published.
